Gwendoline Yeo immigrated from Singapore to San Francisco at eleven skipping the 6th grade - a self described ugly duckling with a tough childhood, Things turned around when she won Miss Teen Chinatown SF, Miss Asian America (where she also won Miss Talent & Miss Congeniality) and finally, Miss Chinatown USA. She graduated from UCLA a year early Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa at the age of 19. She also has a diploma in piano from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
She waitress-ed until she got her dramatic breakthrough role starring "Number3" alongside Robert Duvall in Broken Trail which garnered her a NAMIC Vision award nomination for best supporting actress. Her comedic breakthrough was as Xiao-Mei on Desperate Housewives where she was eventually offered a Series Regular contract.
She recurred on American Crime and guested on other hit shows like NCIS, Greys Anatomy, Castle, The Mentalist & Chuck. She also starred in Emmy nominated American Girl: Ivy & Julie. She won two best actress awards - Houston International Film Festival and the Iowa Film Festival for indie feature Heathens & Thieves. She's got three action figures - Paine in Final Fantasy X-2, Domino in X-Men & Cato Parasitti bounty hunter from Star Wars Clone wars. She's voiced about 50 other games and cartoons.
